DENALI CALLS

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

Over the weekend we camped in Denali National Park. For those of you unaquainted with the word “Denali” it is what Alaskans call what is otherwise known as Mt. McKinley. Call the great one, McKinley, and any Alaskan worth their salt will respond “McKinley who?”
More about that later.

THE BATTLE TO SAVE CULTURAL CHRISTIANITY by Jean Snow

Friday, June 23rd, 2006

This is ridiculous: The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has denied a motion filed by the city of San Diego seeking a suspension of a court order to remove the cross.
The campaign to sanitize America continues. The new fanaticism, the new inquisition, stamp out all cultural references to Christianity to make the [...]

ABRAHAM LINCOLN: FAITH FORGED BY ADVERSITY by Jean Snow

Monday, June 19th, 2006

Over the last year I’ve done a considerable amount of reading about the Founding Father’s. I’ve read books by many different authors about these great men who risked all and forged the greatest nation to ever exist on earth. Monday, June 12th, 2006

My son is an internet guru. He tells me that Net Neutrality is a serious issue that we all need to become more aware of and support.
What does it mean? What is it about? It means freedom to range the internet. It’s about large telecommunications companies moving to fence in [...]

CLAIMING THE HIGH GROUND

Wednesday, June 7th, 2006

I get passionate, excited, sometimes ill-tempered about issues that are important to me. But I count to ten and try to be reasonable, to listen to various opinions on those issues so that I am well informed. I read a wide variety of material and think deeply about the implications of the different points [...]

THE AMERICAN MARRIAGE: JOHN AND ABIGAIL ADAMS by Jean Snow

Sunday, June 4th, 2006

Speaking of marriage, one of the most terrific couples in history is John and Abigail Adams. John Adams was brilliant, fiery, and vain, and one of the best minds to take up the cause of American Liberty. But without the amazing relationship he had with his wife, Abigail, he would not have [...]

ENDANGERED SPECIES by Jean Snow

Friday, June 2nd, 2006

I just celebrated my wedding anniversary. I have been married to the same man, the father of my children, for a long time. My husband and I have worked very hard at making our marriage a success. We have reaped enormous blessings for that hard work. But those blessings far outweigh [...]
